The hospital also contracts with a wide variety of specialists who are available for consult and treatment on a regular basis, including general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, oncology, cardiology, urology, wound care and pulmonology.
Claiborne Memorial Medical Center offers a broad array of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services using state-of-the-art equipment, and the hospital’s full-service laboratory provides fast turn-around times for a vast range of diagnostic testing. The hospital’s imaging department offers general X-ray, fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound/vascular imaging, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine services. The hospital also has the ability to transmit results directly to your physician upon completion.
Other services offered by Claiborne Memorial Medical Center include home health services (provided by Claiborne Home Health) and geripsych services (provided by CMMC Senior Care Center in Haynesville). Patients who are unable to travel to Shreveport are able to communicate with specialists at LSU using telemedicine equipment located in the outpatient services area of the hospital.
